Main research

Currently I am developing a multidisciplinary research focused in Computer Music which title is "Towards a Web-based Cooperative Music Prototyping Environment" at Instituto de Informática from UFRGS.

Computing Institute view

The CODES (Cooperative Sound Design) is a project that aims to allow people (laymen in music or even musician) interact each other and the environment in order to create cooperatively musical prototyping pieces. It is based on the belief that using alternative ways for sonic experimentation and stimulating the interaction between people is possible to encourage more and more their interest in music. I finished my PhD Course in Computer Science in 2009.

Included fields

The research involves Computer Music, considering aspects of Human-computer Interaction and Computer Supported Cooperative Work.

I have also interest in topics related to the web, like web development and web design.

Introduction to Computer Music

This is kind of mini-course that I have presented since last year. The goal is to give an overview about computer music, its history, subfields, the technologies usually used and some tendecies. The content includes the following topics:
